About these text tools

These text tools cover the small jobs that come up while writing and editing. Check an essay or meta description against a length limit with the Word Counter or Character Counter. Fix text pasted in ALL CAPS with the Case Converter, or turn a headline into a clean URL with the Slug Generator.

For lists and messy copy, the Text Sorter puts lines in alphabetical or length order, Remove Duplicates keeps only the first copy of each repeated line, and Remove Extra Spaces collapses double spaces and trims stray blank lines left behind by PDFs and spreadsheets. The Word Frequency Counter shows which words you lean on most, which helps when tightening a draft. The Text Reverser flips characters, words or line order, and the Text Extractor pulls links, email addresses, hashtags and mentions out of a block of text.

Everything runs locally with JavaScript, so drafts, notes and private documents are not sent to a Usevanta server. Results can be copied with one click or saved as a plain text file.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the text I paste stored or uploaded?

No. The text tools process your input in your browser tab and do not send it to a Usevanta server. Closing or refreshing the page clears it.

Do the text tools work with languages other than English?

Counting, sorting, trimming and duplicate removal work with any Unicode text. Case conversion depends on the rules your browser has for that language, and the Character Counter’s Letters line only counts A–Z.

Is there a limit on how much text I can paste?

There is no fixed limit. Very long documents of several megabytes may feel slower on older phones because the work happens on your device.
